News - Yamaha reveal amazing concept 'motorcycles'

Ah, we love a bit of innovation at BikeStormer. Proper innovation that makes you go take a step back and think about how you would have never have thought of that.

These Yamaha branded bikes named 'Deus Ex Machina' do just that. Although we have to wonder if anyone at Yamaha actually looked up what Deus Ex Machina means, or if they just thought it sounded cool.

Deus Ex Machina is a plot device in a play, film or book that comes out of no-where to change the plot, so like when a character in the film suddenly reveals that they are immune to acid for no good reason and then saves the day.

Or a slightly better example of this would be the bit in Superman II where after Louis Lane dies Superman suddenly gets the power to make time go backwards, even though there has been no mention of it before. So it's like calling a bike 'crappy plot twist'.

Anyway, this bike-thing looks very interesting. The helmet is part of the bike for that cyborg chic and it's claimed that it could go at 75mph which would be more than a little scary.

Also have a look at the link for the full story and a really cool looking electric powered three-wheeled bike that we would really like to have a go on.

So full marks for innovation, zero marks for latin. See us after class Yahama, but bring the bikes along too.
